Holy site sits in rust
Long lost to biblical periphery
Barbaric rituals recycled
God has no claim
Freedom fighters
Radicalized in bloodshed
Kill the scripture through absolute
You wear it well
Misogynistic berserkers
Oath breakers, throne collectors
Falling upward
Shrapnel of Nazarene
Punctured in the sacrament
Faith, wear it down
Dine on the guts
Cattle that was your own
A slaughter orchestrated tenfold
Your war is error
Your eyes no longer see
Both sides stumble...

Sideway glance
Trigger pulled, glass cut
Suspicion blew up like his insides
Cascading on the floor
Bullet caked in truth
Rolling along like a death throe
Buried in cooling airways
The man laid still
Zipping up his lips
Maybe crooked underneath
Maybe he only had good intentions
But what’s done is done
The shadow retreats
Mixing up with the spectators
Horror of a killing with repercussions
Stories further convolute
River runs black
Colored by irritated skies
The moon crawls only...
