Inner Thoughts

In this life unsure
of my future,
living with ghosts
of a past
I no longer wish to see.
Thoughts and visions
of things and people
that don't matter,
I felt held back
by distant memories.

I struggled against
the grain at
just the times
I shouldn't have
it seems.
Misery and pain
were my constant
companions,
during waking moments,
nightmares and daydreams.

That world just isn't
for me anymore,
I have no desire
to relive that story.
I'm ready for normal
and I want it with her...
we'll live in his grace
and in Gods glory.
