Grey Nation

Moving through spaces, not sure what I see,
The torment on faces so familiar to me,
They speak and they motion, they sway to and fro,
They cause a commotion, they tell me to go,

They chase me through streets coloured grey dripping red,
The hate seems so strong for nothing done, nothing said,
Silent screams from the watching ones,
Outstretched arms from the lonely ones,
And I don’t know how I got here at al,
The clouds don’t drift and the doors are too small,
I want to leave but I can’t get out,
I need to scream but no sound comes out,

Moving through spaces, not sure what I see,
The torment on faces so familiar to me,
They speak and they motion, they sway to and fro,
They cause a commotion, they tell me to go,

A dream state unlikely, for the pain is too real,
It sucks all the anguish until there’s none left to feel,
Bloody tears of the hurting ones,
Crushing fears of the loving ones,
I need some hope, so I’ll heed any call,
The walls won’t shift, trees are destined to fall,
Doesn’t matter now, I’ve lost all pigmentation,
I’ll let out a silent scream and join this Grey-Nation,

Standing in spaces it’s all part of me,
Tormented faces, kindred to me,
We speak and we motion, we sway to and fro,
Before it’s too late, we beg you to go.
