Release

As I am sitting quietly watching time turn around
I am taken by this beautiful sound
It is you calling swiftly in the wind
Helping me to let go of all my sin

I exhale long and hard looking around to see
That everything that has hurt has been let go inside of me
Letting it all be released is such a powerful thing
It makes me feel good about all that used to sting

I no longer turn away I have no more to hide
I have been cured of all the evil that used to lurk inside
I accept it all and release it with both hands
All I can ask of you is that you try to understand

I am only a weak human who has made some mistakes
But now I am stronger and willing to be nothing less than great
breathing in your strength helps me become the best I can be
Now that I have released all that was killing me

I am now in my special place shining for all who are not blind
Taking back all that was stolen and keeping it close to mine
You have released me and I love you so much
