I Know I Exist
Forever the outcast do I exist?
With a title so harsh empty how I could I resist?
I write a novel entitled how to disappear completely
Never read, removed from view ever so discreetly.
Like being marooned in a silent ocean
Moving without sound, silent in motion.
Walking through this strange life unhindered and unnoticed.
I feel like an observer not a participant,
an apparition or ghost.
Like a supporting character in my own life,
no Oscar nomination of any kind.
I watch from the outside looking in, avoiding my gaze in reflection.
Im just anouther lost soul to add to the collection
Observing, the complexities of mortal sin.
Someday it seems I just cannot win.
Avoiding the danger of human nature
And upon self-reflection I come to realise
I’m like you, I have faults and flaws, I’m accident prone and I walk into doors.
Weak and venerable just like everyone else
It’s good for my mind but bad for my health.
In this poem how could I resist,
Because in someone’s heart somewhere……….I knows I exist?
