My Meteor Shower.
I watch the meteors fall to the ground,
and the Earth, in turn, split and shake.
The temperature rises alongside my heartbeat,
and I have nothing to do but wait.
If the stars were visible from this polluted sky,
I'd make a wish on the first one, for you and I....
And I'd pull you into my arms,
I'd run my fingers through your long brown hair....
This was always the end of the world,
so why should we end it in our own despair?
I could stare into your eyes, as dark as the sky,
and I'd watch meteors fall in the teardrops you cried....
and the Earth, in turn, split and shake.
