Another Massacre

Picture a place so full of treachery
no one escapes
the limpid sun shines bright another day
and even though they pray
every third week the calvary comes
and set the whole entire village ablaze
where are the better days?
The shallow graves are a constant reminder
please take this baby and hide her
I shed a thousand tears, aimless hate
they've been at it for years
I mean a person shouldn't have to stay in fear
another massacre
horrid screams
Lord this wasn't a dream
not even babies were allowed to breath
this really gets to me
genocide is a thing of the moment
I guess we still haven't learned from history
the things we take for granted
over here
a minor thing causes panic
in other places
races taken from the planet
I don't understand it
we're all the same
what would it take for a change?
I'm wanting answers but this couldn't be explained
