Who Ghost Wrote the Ten Commandments?

The First always raises an eyebrow
Are you really that insecure oh creator of the universe

As for the Second, more of the same
Did you just have a bad day when you rested on the seventh

Take away number Three and I'm speechless
When I hit my thumb with a hammer or stub my toe

Surely the Fourth is but a worn out notion
In this frantic world of twenty-four-seven

La Quinta is unrealistic
Given the poor flawed and fractured souls that they are

As for number Six I can proudly say
I was prepared to pull that trigger in Baghdad

With the Seventh I've been particularly naughty
Dipping my wick in both unfaithful husband and wife

Breaking the Eighth happened oh so long ago
Twas delicious until I was caught

The Nineth makes sense to me
I've had no problem with this one

With the Final one I do begin to wonder
Do you really understand that which you made from clay

Dear Lord, if I may be so bold - you forgot the most important one
Number Eleven, be that which the Lord has made and so rejoice in authenticity
