If there is a God
If there is a God,
Then why are there people
Who are happy
And people
Who are not?
If there is a God,
Why is there suffering,
Why is there hate,
Why is there struggle?
If God is to punish,
How does He know what is right?
Who decides that?
Him?
How do we know He is right?
If there is Heaven,
Then why cannot everyone go?
For those who have done nothing wrong
But live their way,
Not having hurt anyone else,
Why cannot they go to Heaven?
Why does He discriminate
Between people for their beliefs?
Why does He choose one side over another?
If there is a God,
Should He not be good and fair
As He promises to be?
I want to believe in a God
Who is good to everyone.
I want to believe in a God
Who is fair.
I want to believe in a God
Who will right the wrongs
That man has made on His name.
If there is Heaven, it should be everyone’s,
If there is God, he should be fair.
Then why are there people
Who are happy
And people
Who are not?
If there is a God,
Why is there suffering,
Why is there hate,
Why is there struggle?
If God is to punish,
How does He know what is right?
Who decides that?
Him?
How do we know He is right?
If there is Heaven,
Then why cannot everyone go?
For those who have done nothing wrong
But live their way,
Not having hurt anyone else,
Why cannot they go to Heaven?
Why does He discriminate
Between people for their beliefs?
Why does He choose one side over another?
If there is a God,
Should He not be good and fair
As He promises to be?
I want to believe in a God
Who is good to everyone.
I want to believe in a God
Who is fair.
I want to believe in a God
Who will right the wrongs
That man has made on His name.
If there is Heaven, it should be everyone’s,
If there is God, he should be fair.
