That is very true. If in theory, the universe was to stop and you were only tracking one person's move, I would assume that you knew the person from before. Thus you have a pattern of behaviour from which to extrapolate from the present to the future. Given this set of constraints, life would be a chessboard with the game in the middle and you would have time to think about all the myriad moves and choose the best. Checkmate.
