Vanish
The sky pours down heavy rain,
Drops of tears from the space above us.
The rain slowly turns red and dies my fingers.
I'm consuming all your wounds, but I can't.
I can't move on any longer.
Your voice and image in my mind,
they're both slowly vanishing.
Please hold me close so I might melt into you.
The heart that once was so alone is glowing,
Looking for the attention of your eyes,
Those eyes of yours that are closing.
I don't want to be alone, but I can't move on,
I can't move beside you any longer down the path.
"Please don't disappear from my arms" I whisper,
But you fade away anyway, the heart line going flat.
Where have you gone? Out of my grasp, where have you gone?
I can't chase you now, you've run too far ahead.
I bare the weight of your disappearance upon my knees,
where have you gone? Why was it you that had to leave me?
Why did you vanish?
