It's Not That Way For Me

The shams are left in silence while the splinters still remain,
Of memories as the days gone by with nothing to explain,
The words seem vacant as they echo deep inside the womb,
Where thoughts conceived will simply leave abandoning their tomb.
No disclosure ever seems enough to speak one's mind,
What we seek we try to keep as what's been left behind,
And shattered shards surround the swirling need to understand,
Why broken dream's catharsis only yeilds to one's own hand.

Empathic empire of the mind, release my stuttered pace,
Take the torture of my fate far from my anguished face,
Those who lurk behind white walls with agendas as their cause,
Stand unchallenged in their depths with pointed polemic pause,
Daring taunts to tittle-tattle overdrawn defense,
Proclaiming from behind their masks their reasoned recompense.
Splattered with their insolence and so tattered with their schemes,
Alleviation always finds its way into our dreams.

The truth behind our poetry shall reveal the allegations,
Temptation trails, desires wail, concocted consternations,
Metaphoric magnificance means so little in the end,
Vague is vague and never sage without the words to spend.
Adroit, adept ambivolence is but nowhere to be found,
Hinted haste falls such a waste upon the tear drenched ground,
Posed as thoughts superlative in the quest the best can be,
Fondest hopes for all yee seek, it's not that way for me.
