sunflower girl
somewhere between life and death
An angel invited me to dinner with my soulmate
I was confused, I said I thought he died
touching his memory stirred me
Jimmy is out there, let me see
Then a nurse entered, looking so much like Morrison
I was always his sunflower girl
babe he said we keep living
A Native American stopped in to see if I needed him and wanted to catch up
I jumped up to go and somebody called me back in ICU
in no fit condition to even walk
Jim was beautiful, wild as the wind,
he's young again out there riding the storm's wind
Jim you will always be my first love
You kept me alive when I wanted to die
I'm so sorry Jim, I don't know what happened to you
resist the feeling to call you back to me
be happy my black Appaloosa
There will never be a killer on the road again for us again
