Virgin Lips No More

There are points of innocence in life
Where the time is lost
and purity is so divine
sometimes, losing it has a cost

It’s like walking up stairs
No one has ever touched it before
once you've placed your footprint
 it's changed forevermore

Untouched from another
leaves innocence in place
The darkness knows the light
it wants a taste

Leaning in with fear in the air
With a whispered promise to take care
“Give me the first taste of sweet virgin lips”
He pulls back, deciding if...

The darkness should be the first to taste
Or wait for another with his gift

Darkness realizes too much thought is in his head
Grabbing and plundering his mouth, she took instead
The timidity and uncertainty of unpracticed tongue
Was replaced with hunger the longer it went on

Another part became alive
Wanting to feel what it had been deprived
Darkness pulls back, looking in dazed blues
When you're ready
I will take that, too.
