Broken
There has to be a line between art and gimmick
It’s a balancing act of getting the ratio just right
Knowing what to drop and what traits to mimic
Achieving desired delivery wrapping words tight
Don’t let the personality compromise the work
Remembering unwritten laws not often spoken
Better to be a wise soul than some random jerk
They’ll never break what’s already been broken

Speechless. What a stunning last line and so very true. It's a balancing act for sure.
Amazing piece, my friend.

What you say makes sense yet it's true that our soul maybe broken but yet it finds a way to mend the truth of what you're going through in hindsight of your mind and heart and spiritual soul of your own subconscious and strength and perseverance 🪬 SHAMAN 🪬

For some reason my mind immediately went to "taking the artist out of the art." It has a feel of only being acceptable if created within certain narrowly defined parameters. But is that really creation? Or just another facsimile of the rest? Never been one to stay in the lines. There's too many amazing textures & experiences in the personality saturated art. I'm probably reading this all wrong, but this is where it took me. It's about the journey, yes?

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. You're pretty much on point. Everything has to be homogenized and pasteurized, ran through a filter of some sort. The powers that be always want show their in control. I also think they fear the power of the pen in the hands of a capable writer. That's just my working theory though. lol. Always enjoy your commentary my friend. Appreciate you.

Balance and proportion.
Yin and yang or the golden ratio.
Always a tightrope walk for sure, and has been since ancient times.
The Greeks thought it was a mark of divinity 😇
