It was kind of scary but by and large a safe procedure.  I was influenced by a friend who works in the cardiac unit where I was being treated so he only had good things to say about my physician.  So I went into it feeling confident...

I didn’t know I had a/fib until I did a stress test and they diagnosed me.  It was a complete surprise.  The good news is my heart is strong and I have no blockages.  I live in a walk up apartment and am up and down the stairs often.  Every flight of stairs you walk is a gift to your heart.  Whenever I have a choice between an escalator or stairs I always choose stairs.    
 
Yes I had DUP support.  
Dimpy could feel me and she sent positive vibes to me often.  She told ne to believe in her powers to heal so I did.  And she was on target …  
I am grateful to her and others who lent support.  
 
 
I’m a huge Doors fan too.  Currently reading a Robby Krieger bio SET THE NIGHT ON FIRE.  
 
 
When I was younger I used to go into our garage at home and sing TOUCH ME.  I could swear the reverb made me sound like Morrison.  Of course I was smoking a lot of dope back then so …

Thank you so much for your kind words and support.
It’s been quite a year.  I’m learning how to take better care of myself even though I thought I was healthy, this silent condition told me otherwise.
It’s a bear but I’m working on my health and trying to help others as well yo be aware of this condition.  I’m on the mend though and looking forward to the new year.

I'm working everyday to lead a healthier lifestyle.  It's difficult at times and I'm no Saint but taking bigger steps to try and eat better and to stuff off the stressful stuff that often consumes me.  Poetspeak will remain and be in your inbox for a long as I am fruitful in my literary efforts.

I'm glad to hear you're doing well Poet. I really think the mix of medications here and there tend to help one thing but stir up another. But it's like you said, as long as you're taking care of yourself, eating better and doing what you need to do, you'll live a long time.

Glad to put it to rest but yes, watching my diet and consumption.  Sleep actually improving some too though it's a challenge sometimes.  Good sleep is really a luxury at thus age ..

Do preventive medicine by seeing your doctors on a regular basis.  My situation was found in a routine physical and an EKG that was irregular...

I am sorry to hear about your terrifying journey but so glad to see you're well and still with us. Thank you for sharing this with us, friend.

I was lucky in retrospect to have a caring doctor who picked up on the irregularity in my EKG.  It was a rough year from a psychological standpoint but I think I'm on the mend again.  I feel good so I guess that's half the battle.
