Feeling insignificant
He doesn’t look at me like he used to
He’s preoccupied with other things
I look to grab his attention
Unfortunately…
It’s folly, a waste of my energy
I’m invisible to him now
My affections are so politely rebuffed
I’m quietly disregarded
Told that I’m loved, but untouched in so many ways
I understand, I’m not so attractive
Time hasn’t been too kind to me
I look at myself in disbelief
In your shoes, I’d probably feel the same
Perhaps you ought to confess your dislike of me
That I’m not longer your cup of tea
It’s okay
And just maybe I’ll understand…
I’m not the one for you anymore
I am sad ….
It’s hard not feeling special anymore
I would feel better if there was someone else
He’s preoccupied with other things
I look to grab his attention
Unfortunately…
It’s folly, a waste of my energy
I’m invisible to him now
My affections are so politely rebuffed
I’m quietly disregarded
Told that I’m loved, but untouched in so many ways
I understand, I’m not so attractive
Time hasn’t been too kind to me
I look at myself in disbelief
In your shoes, I’d probably feel the same
Perhaps you ought to confess your dislike of me
That I’m not longer your cup of tea
It’s okay
And just maybe I’ll understand…
I’m not the one for you anymore
I am sad ….
It’s hard not feeling special anymore
I would feel better if there was someone else
