We are endlessly bombarded
With people claiming they know what is good for us
But the only way to know
Is not to believe in something
It is to see for yourself
Don't believe it because science says it
Don't believe it because a guru says it
Or an "expert"
Try it out in your own life
Give it a fair chance
Then simply keep what works
And discard what doesn't
All theory is dust before the result of a practical test
Only by testing will you know what works
And what doesn't
The only way to peace
Happiness and contentment
Is to see for yourself

Author's Note
As a software developer, I know the only thing that makes me sleep well at night is if I know I thoroughly tested my code. I think this principle applies to normal life as well: You can only rely on something if you tested it. Before you test it in your own life you simply don't know if it will work, no matter what the experts say.
