In His Eyes
His eyes are a map
That have never been traveled
Beneath secrets and games
The truth unravels
The lines of his face
A history of memories gone
In the eyes of his victims
The good guys never won
He walks a hard road
The only one he's ever known
In the darkness of night
He lives and lies alone
There is blood on his hands
Of time he can't erase
There are no memories
Of a better time or place
The gun in his hands
Has dark stories to tell
In his mind he watches
Every body that fell
He waits for the pain
That never comes
The lines of his conscience blurred
That can't be undone
He knows how he should feel
But there is no guilt
His emotions lost
With every kill
Every action justified
But never forgotten
What happened to the dreams of a boy?
When this life he never wanted
In the darkness he waits
For a release long overdue
The time is coming that he will face
What no one ever knew
Nothing to gain, nothing to lose
With his gun to his head
He remembers it's his right to choose
