When Was The Last Time It Was The First Time
While looking at Darius Rucker spit that fucking shit
A fucking rocker masquerading as a country music culprit
But don't think that I'm hating on the motherfucker, shit he prove my point
That all music is connected from ancient drum beats to rock this funky joint
Any song can be repackaged along with new instruments, vocals, rearranged
Even rap as reggaeton can be fucked with right and then renamed
Just imagine what if rap and reggaeton were suddenly classified as classical
Grunge becoming country and visa versa now isn't that radical
Gangsta rap and anything from the streets being sung in church
A bluegrasser with a mountain twang threatening to make that pussy hurt
Music is forever moving, turning, blending, and forever evolving
I'm still stuck in the grooves of old LPs' eternally revolving
Old ass soul and old rhythm and blues, soft rock sprinkled with some pop
I even like a lot of those old AM radio stations with their crooners and do wop
Ancient country with tex-mex blended along with various other charts
Those bandstand favorite classics the kind played at those old sock hops
Picture an album cover with Dr. Dre, Dj Khaled, Beethoven, and Mozart playing poker
While Kid Rock, The Migos, and Eminem do battle with some polka
Hahaha, this shit is always moving, at times separating and other times pulling together
Laughing to myself thinking of the Lindy Hop being performed to heavy metal
Jitterbuggers waltzing and turning their noses up at breakdancers two stepping
Tchaikovsky provided the music while asking Scott Joplin for a second helping
Romantic and Rag brings my mind back to Darius and the last time
And that with music is there ever a first or a last time
A fucking rocker masquerading as a country music culprit
But don't think that I'm hating on the motherfucker, shit he prove my point
