What is Grief

Grief is when you start to not care
not see the bright among the grey
when the door closes and stay shut
no feelings just the need to cut
 
Grief is when you choke on your words
your throat close up and shut out air
pain in your joints sharply going inward
you wait for nothing stillness everywhere
 
so what is grief
grief is when you lose yourself in losing someone
losing your thoughts in what might have been
jumping into a pinhole get buried without a marker  
 
Grief just is.
