dire
perfectly excuted misery
perpetrated on my loneliness
oh dire day take your leave
deeply steeped in reverie, I am sadly absent
my beloved hope please shine on me
take the pain from sorrow and make me a believer
guilty silence in happiness's stead
I am dour
relieve the feelings in loneliness keep
and give me succor
oh malady of ill intent
release your grip so I may smile
emptiness of thought
darkness glow, so captivating
should I invite it in
and take leave of my senses?
hurting faith hiding in the shadows
like a specter, a ghost of herself
desiring company of a like mind
I send out an invitation
festering passion greets me without warning
and in err I succumb there willingly
