Shadows of Dying Worlds

Deep within the pitch-black heart
Entwined behind the weary gaze
In echoes of a world torn apart
In whispers of the fading days

Beneath the shadow of a dying sun
Where once it blazed with fiery might
The solar winds now chill and shun
As darkness grips the lengthening night

Pulsating oceans, cold and stark
Churn with the weight of ancient fears
While strangling shadows mark the arc
Of time that vanishes through the years

It lies in wait, in twilight's shroud
An embodiment of nature’s dread
As silence wraps the earth in crowd
And echoes of the lost are wed

It calls from depths, a somber tone
A haunting tune of twilight's reign
Through winds that carry tales of stone
And murmurs of forgotten pain

A tether forged from dreams now lost
That binds the soul to realms of night
In the void, we bear the cost
Of withering hopes and fading light

In that abyss, despair takes flight
As stars grow dim and coldly pine
For in the shadows, void of light
We feel the pulse of worlds divine

So heed the call, for it shall rise
From buried depths where shadows creep
A silent song beneath dark skies
In a solar system where sorrows sleep

The sun hangs low, its fire spent
A relic of what once had shone
In dying light, we find lament
As echoes of our past are gone
