A Poisoned Dripping Moon
Seeking insanity and chaos
Where the future and past intertwine
Within scrying reflection
Of wrongness that is yet to align
Dread knowledge within arcanum
Perhaps I went too far
Spells that haunt me ever ghastly
Soul borne runes like a lingering scar
Released from the shell of unbeing
Engulfed by a desolate wave
Torn by the desperate struggle
Of a world turning into a grave
Visions of a dreaded hill
What I saw there made my heart freeze
Gallows tree, black as the night
Storm clouds that roared with unease
Sorrowful spinning figures
Weight of what it had borne
At the edge of all creation
Tears of blood and branches torn
Knots of execution in the gloom
Beneath shade, the ones I held dear
Inhumane voices spoke to me
Claiming my life had sealed their fear
Fighting gaping maw of infinity
Choir of agonized and tortured cries
Overwhelmed by the poisoned light
And my soul, once more, in flesh would rise
Now I stride towards ashen horizons
Breathing in the decay of the night
Unfolding my fate beneath the moon’s glow
In a world where hope has taken flight
This light from a poisoned moon illuminates
The remnants of dreams that will not mend
A haunting glow in the depths of despair
Where life and love seem to meet their end
