Old Timers

I had a 1965 red Mustang convertible.
White bucket seats.  289 horsepower.
It was frigging light and fast.  Almost flipped it a few times.  Used to put sand bags in the trunk to weigh it down.

The car sucked but it sure was fun to drive and be seen in ...

They are extremely fast. Mustangs (even though they didn't end up in this piece) are my favorite. Thanks heaps for your comment and your overdose of CAPITAL letters :-D

I dated a guy as a teenager who had a Corvette obsession. Also dated a gear head. Daddy being a mechanic, I spent a lot of time around those classy classics. Brought back memories here, sis 💖

Sexy write. We have another thing in common, Duende. I love old cars. 63 Corvette with the split window in back, only lasted that year. 67 Chevelle, 64 Pontiac GTO, Anything Ford and Shelby collaborated on. AC Cobra, Love the late 60's and early 70's Mustangs. See you got me started. lol This belongs in the list. Appreciate you.

My first car was a two door Nissan Pulsar with a sunroof.
I'm feeling out of the loop here!!

But my dad did have a 1967 Camero. My mom made him sell
it when I was born because it wasn't a family car. Ughhhh
He regrets it to this day but my mom's boss, so he did it. hahaha

  I love this write firstly for the classic car vibe!  I've had my share of some, for sure. My favorite was the '63 Impala. It was not a hot rod (I've had plenty) but it had nice mag wheels and A LOT of chrome!  Dual exhaust, with a nice rumble.  Sigh. I miss it !

Fabulous poem and now envisaging the wild rides had in the various motors!.
My first car was a VW Beetle...not much room inside for fun...but the curved bonnet can aid one's body positioning when taking someone across it!
