Stars Write

If stars could write, I wonder what they would say.  
Would it float there and dream of yesterday's  
would it mark down the seconds that you came into being  
Or did it marvel at the oceans and the seas it has seen  
 
If stars can write, would it be in a flurry  
With swoops of decadent loops written down in a hurry  
Would it try to get each and every word out before it flickers  
Would you know if the star can get it all down any quicker  
 
If you were the star in the sky, we see  
What would you write and convey to me  
Would it be of love or of loss  
Would it be of deception at any cost  
 
I am but one of the stars up above  
They cannot retain what I need to say  
in words that I love.  
So, I will return home, which is called  
Starsrite.  
If you look into the sky  
You will see that I am the first one out tonight.
