Buy Curious

 

She came in the bedroom and saw that I had smile
Wondering what I was viewing on the computer screen
I turned the laptop around saying “look at this dial
It’s in purple baby” I added with a little gleam

The very next day she saw me scrolling through my device
Somewhat annoyed she asked: “Are you looking at watches again?”
They’re on my watch list” I replied excited with wide eyes
“Look at this Phoibos, this Erebus, babe...look at this Sinn!”

When she woke up this morning she said: “are you serious?”
I'd already typed the watches I like on my keyboard
“I’m only window shopping, so I guess I’m buy curious”
I admire them because there are many I can’t afford

I have an obsession with horology past my prime
It's as if getting older makes me want to buy more time
