Last Friday night

Pink cheeks
in the back of your car
as you change my clothes
from cotton to flesh
under the guise of
watching a
drive-through movie

You kiss my racing pulse,
undo the buttons
of my good-girl blouse,
and run your thumb
across the top
of my breasts
as I peel your jersey
from your strong back

trembling hands
and breath,
eyes open

a lost wish
I made
last spring
came true
with my palms
on your chest
and your name
a soft moan
on my mouth

The windows fog.

You wear my
body like a
second skin.

and when we
come down
you redress me
so I’m as marked
as yours
on the outside
as I am inside

and my lips graze
your chin
as you pull
your scent
over my head
trapping my hair
in the collar

I wrap my arms
around your neck
damp from movie watching
as your jersey
hangs to
the middle of my
still-trembling thighs
