Celebrity
I stared into the new moon sky,
black as can be, but for the stars,
shining like Hollywood memoirs
Tallulah Bankhead wouldn't try:
taboo pinpricks in the void
only some great hubris discerns
when falling from more graceful turns,
like Satan, cast out and annoyed...
or starlets in their boudoir robes
pirouetting in bold display
back in the golden age of day
like angels on their astral globes.
But night knows not of graciousness
without the rondure of the moon
reflecting into spaciousness...
the tabloid scandal of high noon!

Yeah, me too. Though it creates appreciation when she emerges as God's thumbnail!

I just remember its size being compared to a thumbnail held at arm's length:)

Thank you!
It's always fascinating to me how things are interconnected or conflated.
How even ideas will dovetail into each other, one leading to the next and so on...

Dear MS,
I enjoyed the blend of celebrity and phases of the moon. I also appreciated the new vocab word “rondure”. Awesome. H🌷

Your moon stuff is always delish.
And your rhyme scheme is always a Chef’s kiss.

I knew I was on to something decent when I climaxed the first stanza with a Tallulah name drop.
Wotta woman!
Wotta woman!

I used to (or I think I still do) have a thing for Old Hollywood, that golden age of beauty, style. You mention of Tallulah, I'll raise you a Grace Kelly, or a Hedy Lamar. But we all know the cost of fame in those days (especially the dark side of Hollywood).
Great work
