Love Me Tender Love Me Sweet
I can no longer hear the laughter in your voice
When you closed your eyes, can you feel my sorrow on the wind
Knowing I will not feel your breeze in my midst
From the womb to the cradle, you shared
Bed of earth is now your everlasting solidarity
A storm brewed above
The trumpets played the last tune of your life
Did you dance in the grave as you basked in the awareness
Your name read from the Book of Life
Peace has finally chosen your fate
Quietly easing away from the agitation, madness, the mayhem
In the basilica of life crossing over
Behind the shroud of death to give unto its beautiful destiny
Caresses of spiritual guiding hands
Voices of ancient welcome the benediction of your homecoming
Ascending the peaks of the highest mountains
Glancing in the wakes of your life
Bowing to the wondrous of what you gave
Cherished in remembrance what you received
Consecrated tongues in awe can remarkably utter
You’ve lived the life of a roaring solider battling in the shadows of God’s pastures
Steadfast in your unwavering honor
Bequeath of faith in your darkest hour
You marveled in thy name
Your tongue never tarried of wicked faith to renounce my earthly journey
Those footsteps in the sands
Marked in the sinking depth of those occurrences when you were down in belief
Those wings of comfort when you could not walk His grace carried you
That voice harkened in my ears to say
Thy work has been done
Heavy hearts did not feel your beautiful rejoice as you a sundered yonder
Deafening ears did not feel the calling of your eternal joy
Clocks did not tell us the time when souls can rest
A silent void no falling tears can ever fill
A feeling the mind or heart will never come to understand in its absence
When your sunrise and sunset has finally set you free
Go now, rest in peace
