(Haha) The end changed the tempo. For a short poem to have two affects it went well

I don't read humor here, though the drastic tonal shift presents to me as astutely raw in a way that Bukowski managed to capture on a page in kind. I think I'm already following you but if I'm not I'll check out more of your work.

I appreciate your take on this. I hadn't intended humour. This piece is what happens when I write a poem about someone I had no real desire to write about, but still felt compelled to, as part of a larger series.
