This is very well-written, especially that second stanza. To honor your request for honest critique:

For the fear knowledge is failing
Illusions will fade in the truth
While hope is forever in the light

How do you feel about changing "in the light" to "shining". Read it aloud both ways, yours and the potential suggestion, and let me know. I also removed some verbiage that wasn't needed to get down to the meat of the meaning.
