Curiosity

What happens when curiosity gets a hold of me?

Thoughts churn and swell in a deep well connected to the sea.

Can the rhythm of a song take me somewhere I don’t know?

Can a touch illicit emotion deep below?

If I close my eyes, where will I be?

It’s a dark tumble into my own insanity.

Would I follow the silly rabbit with a bow?

Or would the hatter keep me down below?

A picnic table set for three.

I’ll move on, not for me.

A road of gold should I follow?

A land beyond not a hollow.

Little wisps of fire and flame,

Calls to me, by my name.

I Open my eyes, and I return.

To a land of forget-me-nots,

And a castle that burns.

Curiosity is like a Cheshire's cat.

Curiosity wears a wizard's hat.

Curiosity led me to write this poem.

It’s a fickle thing and needs to stay home.

Author's Note
Can you pick out all the fairy tales in this one? I am telling you my "prompt" was curiosity and it led me to this?
I will post all the fairy tales tomorrow. Its just a playful thought and Curiosity reminded me of children.
