april song 12—water
splashing, dashing restless river,
to the thirsting land a giver
of the wetness of salvific
heritage, and all the civic
liberties of struggling neighbours.
you have softened all their labours;
for although the crops are not yet,
they are not betrayed by hard sweat.
life you give, yet take you burdens,
bearing peasants o'er high hurdles;
fisher folk dwell on your mud banks,
as do citizens of high ranks.
do you ever feel like resting?
there's a haven quite interesting!
mark you well the vast horizon,
where the sea drinks all life's poison.

sounds like you have a plumbing issue... with all that gushing. some people find an sharp intellect some find sexy and some are in it for slobber

I'm not certain how to interpret your Unveiling, crimsin, except to say that the entire world seems to have a plumbing issue, because our days are ceaselessly diminishing the same way the river flows to the sea. But then, I enjoy rivers, adore the sea, and am helplessly attracted by and connected to the human condition, with all its intellect, sexiness, and disgusting slobbering.

Hey Cab, I liked this, I'm impressed. The river's restless energy, feeding the land and crops and eventually dumping into the ocean. Everything seems to end up in the ocean unfortunately. Some rivers are exceptionally clean and others incredibly filthy. The ocean has no choice but to accept all.

Poor ocean -- yes; it has no choice but to take all that the world throws in its face. But then, that is akin to benevolence; it reminds me of God's invitation, "Come unto me, ALL ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Perhaps all those who reject God's benevolent seas and continue to pollute them, will themselves be cast into the seas of conflagration.
