Image for the poem Sun Poets

Sun Poets

The ink my pen holds
flows and arches,
crashes and wanes
like no other.

In tandem with the
very blood coursing
through my veins.

And what is in my heart,
I will spill onto paper
without fear of reprise.

There are as many poems as stars
in the night sky, each with their
very own sun poet.

My own galaxy I
will create with wondrous
nebulae of metaphors
and similes of a giant red
stars going supernova.

For I am its Poet holding
all steady with my gravity,
ever consumed with rapture
at its simplistic elegance.
