Befallen

In keeping with every ancient lore
I confess my love to the one I adore.
You took my heart and made it soar
diving through every celestial shore.

The angels cried for a long lost soul
stripped naked to his minimal core.
He wanted to lie on all his fours
and pierce open your heavenly door.

Our passions burnt from the start
with the first word which had set you apart.
How do you keep touching my heart
every time you write one of your black art?

Fists of hair you fling around.
Splashes of ink that always astound.
I long to hear every note of sound
and rest between your swaying mounds.

A deluge down on a mother’s face.
Tears suspended in quantum space.
They froze me sizzling in my place,
lost in eternal ocean of gushing haze.

that flung us into different planes,
each a world riddled with pain.
I thought I was going to be in sane,
seeing your sun wax and then wane.

But you had warned me of this day,
when mortals time was built of clay.
Once it ends there is no more play
or love, the kind that sings and sways.

And so the gleam of your heavenly face
was lost. Instead all I did find in place
was a cold bitter sweet embrace,
quickly vanishing without a trace.
