Cathedral cheese

I went south one day to sit on a hill
And low and behold I found a packet of cheese
Who’d have thought it would bring me to my knees

I looked up at the sky and saw a bird
I found myself and transcended realms
As I held my cheese I felt quite overwhelmed

I sat on the floor and thought “Am I god?”
With my cheese in tow and a feeling of love
I sunk into the ground and became one with above

Author's Note
For any of the non British poets, cathedral cheese is a semi posh cheese brand in the UK.. the irony being I don’t even like cheese 😆
