Embracing A New Day

As the twilight
reaches dawn
bare feet
walk on grass
breaking
the dewdrops.

Making contact
with the earth
has me grounded
and centered,
the energy
is nonstop.

Inhaling
the crisp air
into my lungs
refreshens
my thoughts.

As the sun breaches
the horizon
it carves out
a color scheme
and I realize
happiness
can be taught.
