Living within your means is a different measure to each individual
Because excessive desires can lead down darker paths
If we want to experience peace and tranquility
Then we should practice control
If you try to keep up with the Joneses
You’ll find that this is nothing but a fleeting illusion
It’s as if material things won’t bring happiness
It rather creates an ending hunger
Always craving for more
In striving for moderation
I began to understand the definition between of want versus need
That from time to time I can indulge
In the things that life has to offer
So long as it doesn’t compromise my inner peace
