not seeking hearts to captivate
respectfully choosing gentle allure
not to capture or seek or deviate
into dramas and stories for lure

not casting bait nor hitting on
anybody with false attention
I come here to listen and discern
all the lovely stories we have spun

a friend a companion to speak to
talk and write with in poetry
weaving stories about life's lived
just being together bound by arts

let's write up a garden
of love life and laughter.
