I have random rhyming myself. But I struggle with formulaic rhyming. That's an area I leave to those far better than I at it

My cousin told me that unless a poem rhymes it’s not poetry so I sent him a few of my non-rhyme jobs and he changed his tune FAST.  Then I sent him a box head painting for his 80th birthday and now he thinks I’m a genius ….

Rhyme comes & goes for me. Sometimes an entire poem is based around it, and other times it's completely irrelevant.

To me it's too simple, almost the way I feel about doing digital art.  I can do something extraordinary difficult in less than 2 minutes that would take me weeks to do in real painting.  Actually I probably couldn't achieve it in real paint.  But the point is there's no sweat and toil or nuance in digital.  I feel the same about rhyme.  Once in a while sure, z couple of rhyme within a non-rhyming write but not all the time.  Many would differ.  That's what makes a horse race as the saying goes ....
