Verity

Twas a wear'in O the green and gold
upon Saint Patty's Day
that broke me old thought process mold
on nature and fair play

for when an ancient truth be told,
as then as well as now,
ya blow a breath both sweet and bold
as manners will allow.

Cuz after that it's off your back,
that duty to the truth,
and you can get your life on track
to never be uncouth...

since couth becomes its own reward,
(and ladies dig it too),
which even paupers can afford...
when they're not sniffing glue!
