DON'T TOUCH 'TIL HARD
It was magnificent,
in a class all its own.
The shape, color, and
symmetry was perfect.
The more I looked at it
and examined it, the
more I wanted to touch it.
I fought the obsessive urge;
tried to walk away several
times and not look back.
FINALLY
the desire won-out;
it took control of me.
I reached and gently touched it.
"WOW" I thought...
The instructor in the
Pottery Class came and
scolded me: "You know
you're not to touch pottery
until it is dry and hardened."
I've never forgotten that lesson:
"Don't touch 'til hard."
in a class all its own.
