eye of the beholder

lids weigh heavy

soft reveling
quiets

smallish exhausted mews

barely a sound
signal acquiescence

random hushed tones
turn
steady
rhythmic
breathing

dewy skin
finds cozy warmth
amidst sweet
sherpa satisfaction

curling into herself,
happily losing the fight—
sleep grabs hold

he watches
her rise and fall
for a long while

lost in gazing—
never seeing
anything

more beautiful.
