Spring's Harbinger

spring's harbinger

quite the time of an afternoon still
a perfect timing to soften the quill
as the sun comes up above the hill
chasing away all the darkness chill

i rise alive to welcome the new day
the heart full of much joys so to say
i have the feeling that on my way
will fade away all what seem'd gray

the sparrow of dawn, a nimble cheer
in the fluffy trees, more hosts appear
all in one chirp, they welcome the year
the sky is neat, all the hearts are clear

i skipped out with verve into the open
like a little creature then, i hopped
as the sun shyly behind, has popped
still, the pine trees with icicles topped

As the cold in the airs, slowly melt
vapors fade away like a misty belt
and the blue peeps out quietly clear
methinks, Spring is here, there's no fear
