Stop and Smell the Coffee

Time flies by everyone wants to get somewhere
they have no time to stand and admire
there is no calm in their existence
everything is rushing all needs are instant

not all wants that tea and conversation
or dip their biscuits in hot milky coffee
or watch a bird fly overhead in admiration
and wonder how it is to fly so high, so free

they are tied up with the world
what is Kate wearing to the Gala
why Meghan’s hat makes her look old
does red go with black or yellow

how is old Bruce doing now
why did Tiffany’s husband cheat on her
what happened to old rich Steve
will he ever recover and marry a billionaire

I wish I can say:
come over for tea
we’ll sip it while we watch
the thundering waterfall
and rest your mind from going-ons
that doesn’t affect you at all
