Synapsis Heritage

This goes through and tells the story of a protagonist that thinks too literally about the mind, and gets excited, in thinking their reasoning and rationality of the science of the brain is all there is to consciousness and life in general.  They then get carried away with pride and haughtiness, and it creates conflict and misunderstanding in others, as well as self.  Too extroverted and excited in literal, physical, technical, statistical, analytical things.  Rather than choosing to see outside of the box, they stay inside of it, in a sort of metaphorical way, in explaining away things to do with the mind with literal stuff.  Irony in the end, in that they see spiritual disposition in themselves.  Shame is felt, and there is a need for change.  Proof enough that we're more than animals.
