Cement impressions

I wonder about the dogs  
whose paws leave prints in the cement.
Actually, I wonder about the owners  
of the dogs whose paws leave prints in the cement.
 
Were they amused?  
Were they annoyed?
What is it like to clean cement off of a dogs paws?
Did they even notice?
 
I once followed a trail of bloody paw prints for 12 blocks;  
I wondered if they noticed.
Would I notice?
