A Rainy Day Today

it was a rainy day today
the world was just so grey
I sat by my window
and watch the rain fell

I thought about the way
dewdrops hung heavy
on grass blades
in  my younger days

I was in the ER
a few days back
realising how fragile
my life has become

so I enjoyed the rainy day
early this morning
tonight I am sitting here
and thinking about it

I hope for more rainy days
and sunny ones too
starlit nights
and mysterious twilight.
