Venus In Shade
At twilight, as I lay down to rest, a soul dances bye
and bye, sweet requiem song. Tinkering with the
incense and opium candle. Dripping its tallow, on
fronds of carriageless horses. Through bottled
dreams of insanity's equinox and villages of death.
Now listening to the jackals, where once were the
pale corpses, boxed in mahogany. Now Venus is in
the shade of forever green, just rotting, waiting at
the depot of death.
